Hearts midfielder Emmanuel Hayford is racing against time to be fit for Sunday’s Super Clash against Kotoko.
The new recruit grabbed the headlines last Sunday when he scored a brace to propel Hearts to a comfortable 2-0 win at New Edubiase.
But the former Amidaus Professionals enforcer limped off in the second half after picking up a knock.
The young striker has since been in the treatment room, hoping to recover in time ahead of the BIG showdown in the capital.
Coach David Duncan has confirmed the player’s situation but has allayed the fears of the fans.
“Your fears should be allayed because there is no cause for worry because like I adjusted in the Edubiase game I have credible candidates who can do the business on Sunday,” Duncan said
Hearts drew 1-1 with Kotoko at the same venue last season.
