Hearts striker Fiamenyo frustrated with injury

Posted On Thursday, 22nd November 2012

Gilbert Fiamenyo is unsure when he will return to the pitch

Hearts striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has admitted he is getting frustrated over his lack of progress in the treatment room.

The 22-year-old is yet to kick a ball for the capital-based side since he joined from Heart of Lions at the start of the season due to a problematic knee problem.

He was expected to play part at some point in the campaign but fresh reports suggest he may need a surgery to repair the damage.

“I am not happy to see my colleagues playing week-in-and out without me,” Fiamenyo said

“I cannot say how long I will be out. We have to wait and see the specialist and then we’ll  know what’s next.

“But I believe I will be fit and play at some point.”

The purchase of the striker has generated heated debate among their teeming supporters after it emerged officials knew he was unfit when they forked out thousands of dollars to secure his services.
