Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak are still locked in negotiations to sign versatile midfielder Rahim Ayew, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.
Reports in the local media last week claimed talks between the two parties had broken down over the contract terms with the Phobians objecting to a clause proposed by the former Lierse SK playmaker.
Rahim, a senior brother of Olympique Marseille’s Ayew brothers, wants a clause that will allow him to quit Hearts should a foreign offer comes through without Hearts having a say in such transfer.
However, Hearts want to have a say in the 25-year-old’s transfer and this halted negotiations.
Talks have resumed between the two parties and a common grounds is expected to be found before the window closes next week.
