Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have dismissed social media reports suggesting the Phobians have netted a bumper sponsorship deal with Kenyan telecommunication giants Safaricom.

A facebook image that has gone viral on other social media platforms shows a spectacular jersey with the Rainbow colours - with a dominant blue and white colours with Safaricom as main sponsors, claiming to be Hearts' home jersey for the 2013/14 season.

But Hearts insist the image trending on the social media is just a hoax and the Phobians have no arrangement with the Kenyan-originated telecommunication giants yet.

"It is not true, the image on facebook is a hoax. We have no such agreement with Safaricom," a source close to new Managing Director told Ghanasoccernet.com.

Newly-appointed Managing Director Neil Armstrong has promised to bring foreign sponsors on board to financially arm the former African champions.

But Safaricom is yet to enter into the Ghana market which makes the deal hardly unlikely.
