Hearts revival pegged back by AshGold

Struggling AshantiGold shocked Hearts of Oak with a 1-0 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghana top-flight.

Former Ghana U17 attacker Aaron Amoah scored the match winner for the Miners on the half hour mark with a powerful angled effort.

Mahatma Otoo came close to levelling the scoring but Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda denied him on all occasions.

Both sides finished with ten men each as midfielder David Telfer and Nuru Suley got sent off for AshantiGold and Hearts of Oak respectively.

Hearts were hoping to record their second win under new coach David Duncan but were forced to swallow defeat on home turf.
