Hearts of Oak have terminated the contract of Edward Affum on mutual consent

Accra Hearts of Oak have terminated the contract of striker Edward Affum who submitted a transfer request.

The 24-year-old former Asante Kotoko hit-man slapped in a transfer request last month following a spat with coach David Duncan.

Hearts officials in consultation with head coach David Duncan agreed to cancel the contract of Affum who joined the Phobians three seasons ago from rivals Asante Kotoko.

“I’m happy they have done what I wanted for me. I’m free now and can join any club of my choice,” he told Accra-based Happy FM.

Affum scored six times in two seasons for Hearts.

If you are a striker and score 6 goals in 2 seasons, I am sure no team is jumping for joy to have you.. Are you not worse than Torres?
