Hearts have told midfielder Laryea Kingston he cannot terminate his contract
Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have told former Ghana international midfielder Laryea Kingston he cannot quit the club.
Kingston, 32, has officially written to the former African champions to mutually terminate his contract after falling out with the club.
However, after a board meeting in Accra on Thursday, the club has written back to the former Heart of Midlothian playmaker informing he still remains a player of the club.
“The board met yesterday and we have written back to him informing him that he is still a player of the club,” club spokesman Muheed Saeed said.
“He (Kingston) has been paid all his signing on fee and cannot just go like that.
“If there is any club interested in him, they have to come for negotiations.
Kingston has been slapped with indefinite suspension after physically abusing the club’s account in Accra last month.
Nagodee, you have made an informed decision. He wants a call-up in Blackstars with this filthy attitude. Go to hell bro.
