Hearts of Oak reply frustrated Osei Pele

Ghanaian side Hearts of Oak have denied sabotaging striker Edwin Osei Pele in his quest to fulfill his career dreams.

The 19-year-old told an Accra-based radio he was prevented from joining Greek side Panathinaikos and also blocked from joining three national teams.

But the club in a quick response has poured cold water on the player's claims.

"It's not true that the club refused to release him. We challenge him to show the invite he's talking about. It is also not true that we told the national team coaches not to travel or use Osei. What of Mahatma, Apoh, Karim and Sammy Adjei who were with various national teams," The club's spokesperson Albert Commey wrote to GHANAsoccernet.com

He added: "The club does not owe any bonus or salary. He should rather be grateful to the club for giving him the exposure. He must mend his ways in his own interest."
