Hearts must cough up US$ 40,000 for Fiamenyo

Posted On Tuesday, 3rd July 2012

Heart of Lions striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has been linked with a move to Hearts

By Patrick Akoto

Heart of Oak must  cough up US$ 40,000 (80,000 Ghana Cedis) for the signature of striker Gilbert Fiamenyo.

The 2000 African Champions have reportedly tabled 30,000 Ghana for the services of the man who netted five times for Heart of Lions.

But the Kpando-based side wants an improved offer for the 20-year-old before the deal could be sealed.

“Indeed we have met with both the player and officials of Lions who have quoted their asking price for Fiamenyo,” a source at Hearts is quoted by 90 Minutes newspaper.

“But what they are asking for is too much s we’ve also sent a counter offer and hopefully they will consider it in order to push the deal through.

“We believe we’ve made a fair offer under the current economic climate prevailing in the country and so let’s see what happens.”

This is what we expect from Togbe and his team.We are no longer interested in obscurites and mediocrities. Such established players would not only improve our performance in the local league but would also bring we supporters to the park. Please don’t give up.

So Fiamenyo is 20 years. Ok. That’s good.

Terror…are refering to me? At least I have 10 tickets of home matches. But for lectures and examinations, I will be following the club everywhere!!

  5. Maxwell Johnson says:

Good riddance, the board chairman (Togbe Afede) should do everything possible to bring Fiamenyo to H.O.O. He’ll form a deadly partnership with M. Otoo upfront, we also need Hans Kwoffie of Medeama. With such players and other good additions in Defense, Midfield & on the wings our team will be very strong next season.
