Ghanaian striker Mahatma Otoo is set to make his debut in the Norwegian top-flight league on Saturday when he plays for his club Sogndal.

The 21-year-old is likely to play for the club when they take on Molde in what would be his first match for the Norwegian club.

The ex-Hearts of Oak talismanic striker joined Sogndal on Wednesday from the Ghanaian side and could be thrown at the deep end.

Sogndal sports director HÃ¥vard Flo is delighted that they have managed to get the Ghanaian despite the interest from several clubs.

"We are proud that he chose Sogndal from all the opportunities he had. It has been an arduous process of getting him," says sports director HÃ¥vard Flo.

The player himself is happy to have the opportunity to Sogndal.

"I was very pleased with the way the team presented itself to me in Ghana. They made me feel welcome and I confident that this was the right decision," Otoo said.

Otoo scored 20 goals in the Ghanaian top flight last season.

He is part of Ghana's team to play in a friendly against Turkey on Wednesday.
