Hearts of Oak have denied handing a three-match ultimatum to coach Mohammed Polo.
The ex Ghana star has endured mixed results since replacing David Duncan in November.
Polo started off with narrow win over Ebusua Dwarfs before drawing with Aduana Stars and then a crashing defeat to All Stars in the final game of the first round.
Hearts were also eliminated from the FA Cup by lower division side Gold Stars – inflicting more misery to the club fans.
Reports later emerged that the club’s management have handed a three-match ultimatum to coach Mohammed Polo to either perform or face the sack.
But the club’s Managing Director Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe has debunked these reports – insisting management is firmly behind the new coach.
“Our PRO – Muheeb Saeed – had come out to correct this report through a press statement that the so called ultimatum given to the coach is not true,†he told Asempa FM.
“It is one of the challenges we are having because honestly the fabrications and stiff like that are becoming just too much.
“Our new coach had played just four games and I don’t think from watching through his training methods and all that is doing badly at all.
“We have done our bit and we hope that by the time the second round resumes, Hearts will restore its glory days.â€
