Hearts of Oak have been drafted in as one of Ghana’s representatives for the next edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Phobians have been asked by the Ghana FA to step in as a replacement for Inter Allies who announced their decision not to compete in the continental club tournament.

Hearts finished third in the last Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Phobians have until Wednesday to confirm their interest in representing Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup.

“For your information, maybe some good piece of news for you is that we have received information from the GFA that we have qualified to play in the Confederations Cup,” Hearts’ Executive Board chairman Togbe Afede XIV revealed at the launch of the club’s Executive Group on Monday.

“The letter came on Friday and the GFA says they need a response by Wednesday.

“Playing in Africa is no child’s play so we have to consider all our options before sending our response.”
