Hearts of Oak striker Gerald Odupong insists his injury woes are over, adding that he understand his body better.

The diminutive striker has a perfect record in pre-season friendly games having netted six goals from six games despite being on the injury table most of the time.

The stocky attacker has had numerous muscle injuries since he returned to the club in January, and he even had to be stretched off after scoring on his home debut against Ashgold last season.

Odupong's injury-woes aggravated during pre-season but after a couple of weeks on the sideline, the Hearts striker, who returned to training a fortnight ago, says his injury problems are a thing of the past.

"It has taken me a long time to fully understand my body, but I am happy I do now," Gerald Odupong revealed.

"Since I came back to Hearts, all my injuries have been muscle problems. I haven't been out due to anything other than a thigh or hamstring problem.

"My body is quite different and so if I do not warm-up properly, I might get a muscle problem.

"I think the doctors have been of good help because they told me my problem and I now understand my body better.

"I am happy I have returned to training, and I am praying for an injury-free run so I can help the team when I am given the opportunity."
