Hard tackling Hearts of Oak defender Robin Gnagne has expressed delight in his sideââ¬â¢s performance in Benin which saw them progress in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The maiden winners of the competition in 2014 had experienced goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama to thank after saving a penalty in the 0-0 draw which ensured they advanced 1-0 on aggregate.
Gnagne says he is proud of the teamââ¬â¢s performance.
ââ¬Ëââ¬â¢We played very well and the team did well,â⬠Gnagne told GHANASoccernet.com. ââ¬ÅIt wasnââ¬â¢t easy but we showed that we had character and that delighted me.
ââ¬ÅI am really proud of the teams showing.ââ¬
