Hearts of Oak’s team manager Nat Ofosu says the lack of big name signings serves as a good cover for the pleasant surprise his team has in stock when the season starts.

The Phobians have only been able to sign on Ebo Andoh from Berekum Chelsea and Amidaus duo Selassie Adjei and Emmanuel Hayford in this off-season.

The Rainbow club have however missed out on their major lined up transfers with the likes of Abeiku Ainooson, Asiedu Attorbrah and Foli Adade all swerving to sign for Premier League rivals.

The Phobians are now left playing catch up in the transfer market with most of their rivals getting a head start in strengthening the squads for the upcoming season.

But Hearts’ team manager Ofosu says the low-keyed signings made by the club are good enough to take the Premier League by storm.

“People are saying we have not bought any big name in this transfer period,” he told Metro FM.

“But the truth is that with the three Premier League players that we have signed, are very good enough for us.

“We have signed other unknown players and I can tell you from what I see, the supporters are in for a treat.

“People might be talking about the lack of big name signings but we will all see what the team will be like when the season starts.”

Hearts will open their Premier League campaign at New Edubiase on September 15 before hosting arc rivals Asante Kotoko a week after.

They will then take on newly promoted sides Inter Allies and Hasaacas in back-to-back games.
