Hearts line up Maxwell Konadu as Akunnor's replacement

Maxwell Konadu could replace dismissed CK Akunnor a Hearts

By Patrick Akoto

Hearts of Oak have lined up Maxwell Konadu to take over the coaching job in an interim-basis following the dismissal of CK Akunnor, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Officials of the capital-based club have contacted the former Asante Kotoko trainer to take over the vacant position.

GHANAsoccernet.com sources gather the 39-year-old is relishing the prospect of coaching the club only in a short-term basis.

Akunnor was shown the exit door after he supervised three straights defeats, a draw and a win, leaving just above the relegation zone.

The Board of Directors took the decision to part ways with the former Ghana captain on  Wednesday after failing to clamp down on growing indiscipline in the dressing room.

Akunnor was appointed in March 2011 after the club’s severed ties with Serbian coach Nebojsa Vucicevic.

  8. Fresher says:

Haaa, haaa, haaa, haaa! Infact, Hearts of Oaks are locked in a slow dance of death. Simplistically, Hearts of Oaks is a BLIND sighted club that relies on SOUND ECHOES and KICKINGS to find its way. Holistically, Hearts of Oaks has effectively sentenced itself to a perpetual GLOOM, where its DOOM is likely to DRAG it down into a state of the proverbial fallen GIANT, whose body is being eaten by any animal. Konadu will not take this kind of morbid job, where many good and competent coaches have lost their pants and were eventually hanged. Lol

  9. Dr. Zomito says:

Akunno’s days were numbered the first day he started with Hearts. Kunadu should stay where he is, he should not go to Hearts.

  10. SAM says:

we dont want any ex kotoko player cum coach in our glorios phobia-WAKE UP MANAGEMENT. Phoooooooobia-never say die
