Two of the local football powerhouses, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak will this afternoon embark on a desperate mission to salvage their sinking image in the ongoing First Capital Plus Premier League.

While Hearts of Oak host Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium in a crunch duel, Kotoko trek to Golden City Park in Berekum to encounter Chelsea on a similar mission.

Rather uncharacteristically, both the Porcupine Warriors and the Phobian are struggling at the drop zone and require a miracle of significant proportion to elevate them in the midst of their current challenges.

For Kotoko the dismissal of coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani appears to have drawn a lot of inspiration out of the playing body while the Hearts of Oak fans' apathy towards the board chairman's style of running the club seemed to have trickled down to the playing body.

But whatever the situation is, both sides are expected to find the inner strength to win today's match in order to bring back confidence among their disenchanted supporters.

In the other matches,  Inter Allies will host BA United at the Tema Park, while Wa All Stars welcome Hasaacas to  the Wa Park while  AshGold battle Heart of Lions at the Len Clay Stadium.

In the rest of the matches , WAFA  face New Edubiase at Sogakope, Liberty Professionals are guests of  Medeama at the T&A Park, while  Bechem United face Olympics at the Bechem Park.
