Hearts of Oak legend Samuel Ablade Kumah has denied claims that the use of juju by local player is the reason that most talents are unable to reach their full potential.

Former Hearts schemer Charles Taylor recently blamed Black magic for his failure to reach his full potential following a bright start to football career.

Bernard Don Bortey has also in the past hinted of similar claims of being hampered by ‘juju’ but Ablade Kumah says all those will not work if the player is disciplined and focused on his job.

“There is a lot of juju in India but what have they done in world football? Nothing,” Ablade told Citi FM

“For me it’s has to be about the discipline and focus of the player.

“Now the kind of players we have to be more focused on their job and they will go far.”

Ablade Kumah played most of his club football in Ghana with Hearts of Oak between 1987 and 1993
