Lawyer of David Duncan, Amoah Larbi has confirmed his client has received his complete due compensation from Hearts of Oak.

The Phobians were ordered to pay a staggering $40,000 compensation to Duncan for his wrongful dismissal in November 2013.

The club also failed in its appeal to the Ghana FA’s Status Committee ruling.

Hearts, facing financial challenges had to engage Duncan and his representatives to negotiate for a reduced amount.

The protracted negotiations is believed to be one of the reasons why Duncan’s prospective return to coach Great Olympics fell through.

An amount was eventually settled on but payments was to be made in tranches.

Duncan’s lawyer, Amoah Larbie has now confirmed his client has received the full negotiated compensation to end the saga with Hearts of Oak.

“We renegotiated with Hearts and they have been able to pay the debt owed to David Duncan,” Larbie told Peace FM.

“The amount was reduced for Hearts and they’ve finished paying.

“We therefore no longer have any issues with Hearts.”

David Duncan has now agreed to join rivals Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal.
