Goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy has signed a new three-year contract extension with Hearts of Oak, the club have confirmed.

The new deal is reported to be worth US$ 12,500 (GH? 50,000).

McCarthy’s previous deal expired at the end of last season and was linked with a host of Ghana Premier League clubs including his former side Fetteh Feyenoord.

“The truth is that I did not hesitate to sign a contract extension. This is a big platform and I didn’t intend jumping out now,” McCarthy told the Hearts News.

McCarthy is delighted to have regained full fitness after injuries limited him to few games last term.
