Hearts of Oak slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Ghana's U20 side in a friendly game on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Midfielder James Bissue put Hearts in front with a first-half penalty but Sellas Tetteh's boys fought from behind to win the tie on a cool afternoon at Osu.

Hearts coach David Duncan paraded an entirely new squad for the game with only skipper Mahatma Otoo making a second-half appearance.

A Hearts midfield consisting of Esme Mends, Kofi Abanga and Yakubu Musah put the Phobians in charge of possession but former Aduana striker Joseph Mugre failed to convert his chances.

However, Hearts won a penalty nine minutes before the break and Bissue stepped up to put away for the opener.

But an all-running Black Satellites returned from the break to equalise through Liberty Professionals striker Ebenezer Assifouh before they sealed the victory mid-way through the half.

Former New England Revolutions defensive midfielder Emmanuel Osei came off the bench to play for Hearts.
