Hearts of Oak defender Nuru Suley is confident the Phobians will emerge from Wednesday's clash with AshGold victorious despite recent poor showing against the Miners.

The capital-based 20-time Ghana champions have enjoyed a recent poor streak of results against AshGold and host them at the Accra Sports Stadium in a week 22 fixture of the First Capital Plus Ghana Premier League.

AshGold, who have slipped from third berth to 6th on the section, have beaten Hearts 6 times in their recent 8 meetings with Hearts winning the remainder of the fixtures, their last home win over the Miners coming in a 3-2 victory in December 2012.

Defender Nuru Sulley is in confident about his side's chances winning: "We know how important this game is to the team and we have all kept our focus well. We will win."

Hearts' bitter-rivals Asante Kotoko have taken a commanding lead at the summit of the league table - opening a 11 point gap and the Phobians have to contend for a second spot to secure continental football next season.

AshGold have not been in the best of shapes and their come-from-behind 2-1 win over New Edubiase United at the Len Clay Stadium was only their second victory since December 2013.

Hearts have midfielders Emmanuel Hayford and Thomas Abbey both missing with the tie due to injury but game-change Winful Cobbinah returned to training last week.

Bashir Hayford has a rich collection of experience in his fold with 2011/12 goal king Emmanuel Baffour and former Hearts of Oak attacker Luis Agyemang all available for selection.
