Hearts of Oak defender Nuru Sulley has signed a three-year deal with Libyan side Al-Ittihad Tripoli.

The centre-back had already reached a deal with another Libyan outfit Al Nasr but his move from the Ghanaian giants was not concretized.

It is understood that compatriot Yahaya Mohammed who inked a deal with them months back recommended Sulley’s signing.

“Initially, the turmoil in Libya made me rescind my decision to join Al Nasr but make a loan return to my mother club Accra Hearts of Oak,” the 2014 CHAN star said.

“I received this offer from Ittihad while training and negotiating the agreement with Hearts of Oak.”

Al-Ittihad Tripoli will feature in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup and wait for the start of the Libyan Premier League next January.
