Hearts dealt Fiamenyo blow

Gilbert Fiamenyo has been ruled out for two months

Hearts Striker Gilbert Fiamenyo will miss the start of the upcoming season.

The injury-prone former Heart of Lions arrowman is yet to recover from an ankle injury that sidelined him for the better part of last season.

Club officials have confirmed he will need an additional two months to recuperate fully from the set-back.

The player is currently undergoing physiotherapy sessions which include swimming works and gym excercises.

“There’s been some minor complications but we are sure these treatments he will stand a good chance of playing again soon.” a member of Hearts medical team is quoted by 90 Minutes.

The 2000 African champions forked out 40,000 Ghana Cedis for the services of the player who is yet to take part in the the club’s pre-season training.
