Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo has lauded his team for giving Aduana Stars ââ¬Ëmore hellââ¬â¢ in their thrilling 3-2 win on Wednesday.
The Phobians managed to secure the win but just after a spirited last minute attacking surge from the visitors in search of the equalizer in the midweek First Capital Plus League clash.
Gilbert Fiamenyo â⬓ rediscovering his scoring form - scored to give Hearts a 3-1 cushioning after Bosson Landry and Isaac Oduro had scored earlier on for the side.
Aduanaââ¬â¢s flying full-back Godfred Saka had pulled one back through the penalty spot with Richard Arhin also scoring from a late corner kick to give the hosts a nervy finish at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Herbert Addo admitted to the quality of his Wednesdayââ¬â¢s opponents but congratulated his boys for fighting harder to secure the vital win.
ââ¬ÅAduana are a good side and that is why they are at the no.2 spot,â⬠he said after the game.
ââ¬ÅThey have a strong defence, a very god midfield and a very mobile attacking machinery.
ââ¬ÅThey gave us a lot of hell and when we woke up we also gave them more than the hell and we were able to take a two-goal lead.
ââ¬ÅIt was a very good game and we deserved to win of course and I hope we continue on a winning streak.ââ¬
The win now takes Hearts of Oak out of the relegation zone up to 12th in the Ghanaian top flight after nine rounds of matches.
