Hearts coach pleased with Tema Youth draw

Posted On Thursday, 11th October 2012

CK Akunnor was happy with his side's performance against Tema Youth

By Patrick Akoto

Hearts coach CK Akunnor says he is not disappointed with the side’s inability to pick maximum points at Tema Youth.

The Phobians rallied from behind to draw 1-1 against the Harbour-warriors in their delayed Premier League opener at the Tema Sport stadium on Wednesday.

The capital-based club missed the chance to go above rivals Asante Kotoko but the former Ghana captain insists he is pleased with the outcome.

“I am happy we came with a good result and we’re looking forward to the next match,” Akunnor said

“At a point we were more than them and I thought we could posses the ball and get them.

“But they were rather possessing the ball more than us and I was furious because that shouldn’t have been the case.

“We wanted to win at all cost and therefore there was an opportunity for us. They were less than us and therefore we needed to take that opportunity to win.”

Hearts will next tackle FA cup holders New Edubiase at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday October 14.

Wow. Pleased? I certainly was not pleased. Terror, please take it easy. Even the perfect team drew at home, with a perfect coach. With determination, the most unskilled can get on top. Keep your perfection. Let the perfect clubs win Super Cup.
