Hearts of Oak coach Mohammed Polo questioned the integrity of referee Fred Andoh despite his sideââ¬â¢s 2-1 win over AshantiGold.
The Capital club needed the points to whittle down the point-gap between them and leaders Kotoko to eight.
Hearts relied on goals from Gerald Odupong Wellignton and Paul Acquah and AshGold netted a consolation from Emmanuel Osei.
But Polo was not a satisfied man and he launched a scathing attack on the centre referee for his below par performance.
ââ¬ÅIt is an important win but the referees are trying to mar the beauty of the game,â⬠the ex-international said in a post-match interview.
ââ¬ÅIt is not good. Let us be fair to everybody so that whatever result comes it will be acceptable to all.
ââ¬ÅAshGold played well and there is nothing wrong with that but the referees must do the right thing.ââ¬
