Hearts coach Mohammed Polo has been handed a three-match ultimatum to protect his job, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal.

Polo was told at meeting on Christmas Eve which took place at the residence of board chairman Togbe Afede to win all first three matches.

Hearts face Wa All Stars at home, Aduana in Dormaa Ahenkro and a home match against Ebusua Dwarfs when the league returns in February 2014.

The Ghana legend has come under fierce criticism after a not too impressive showing since taking charge last month.

Polo managed to record one win; one draw and two defeats in four matches including the humiliating 2-1 reverse at second-tier side Gold Stars in the MTN Ghana FA Cup.

Hearts slipped to third on the league table after the first round.
