Hearts of Oak coach Mohammed Polo has blamed the lackluster effort of his players for the sideââ¬â¢s 3-0 thrashing at the hands of All Stars on Sunday.
The Phobians struggled to get going throughout the crashing defeat at the Wa Park.
The defeat sees Hearts drop to third in the Ghanaian top flight and further lose grounds on leaders Asante Kotoko in their pursuit for Premier League glory.
Many have blamed the relative inexperience of coach Mohammed Polo for the humiliating defeat.
But the ex Ghana forward says his players failed to live up to expectation against All Stars.
ââ¬ÅI felt with a little bit of effort from the players, we could have got the goals back and even win the match,â⬠he told Metro FM.
ââ¬ÅBut despite all we did, we couldnââ¬â¢t score and it was quite disappointing.ââ¬
ââ¬ÅI am getting to know the players well and how they react.
ââ¬ÅWe hope to rectify all these issue and make sure we get a better run in the second half of the season.ââ¬
