Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo believes new recruit Foovi Aguidi is gradually beginning to show his qualities as a top striker.

The Togolese forward has had a slow start to his life with the Phobians.

Aguidi emerged as one of the big-name signings of the club ahead of the new Premier League season.

He comes in with immense promise with many of the Hearts fans considering him as the heir apparent to Mahatma Otoo.

But the talented striker has failed to score in as many games for the Phobians.

Addo however believes his new recruit is beginning to show signs of his quality following the friendly win over Medeama over the weekend.

“I was particularly impressed by the performance of our striker Foovi [Aguidi],” Addo said.

“I believe he is gradually picking up and being aggressive.

“It is my expectation that very soon he will be at where we want him to be.”
