Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo has hinted more players could be leaving the club following their 1-0 defeat to Heart of Lions on Saturday.

The new boss saw his side slump to the defeat in the opening game of this year’s GHALCA Top 4 competition before their home fans at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Addo dropped the likes of Winfull Cobbinah and Kenneth Okoro to give opportunities to some of his fringe players against Lions.

He however quickly introduced the in-form duo before the first half ended after his side had taken an earlier hit.

The ex Inter Allies boys now says he is in a better position to axe more players having thoroughly assessed his options in a competitive game.

“I am happy with what I saw. I gave everyone the chance to see the good and the bad,” he told MTNFootball.com.

“Some of the players are on test, we have chosen them as potential Hearts of Oak players.

“We wanted to see whether they can play under pressure in a competitive game.

“I have got enough to make me sit up more. There will be no favouritism.

“Those who are capable of playing for Hearts of Oak is who I will choose.”

Hearts still have a chance of making the finals of the GHALCA Top 4 tournament but must overturn the first leg result against Lions when both sides clash in the return fixture on Wednesday at the same venue.
