Hearts coach Herbert Addo has warned retired Ghana captain Stephen Appiah not to exchange the boots with suits.

A world class testimonial match is expected to take place in Accra on June 27 to honour the outsanding former Black Stars captain after calling time on his illustrious career.

Many have advocated for the widely respected ex-international to enter into coaching but current Hearts coach Herbert Addo has other ideas.

He has warned the former Juventus star of attempting to enter into the arena,  fearing he may not succeed.

“I will advise Stephen Appiah never to enter into coaching, the terrain is not good in Ghana. Here in Ghana you have to be a “coach” to become a “coach”. Addo is quoted by Footballmadeinghana

“If you do not have the heart and love for the job, you cannot do it.

"Nevertheless if he still wants to get into coaching, I will advise him to start by attaching himself to the experience ones and also do upgrading courses regularly."

Appiah is a cult figure in Ghana after captaining the Black Stars to qualify for their first ever World Cup final in 2006.
