Fred Crentsil has been named as the new Ghana FA vice president

Fred Crentsil has been named as the new Vice President of the Ghana Football Association

The Hearts of Oak Chief Executive stood unopposed in Tuesday’s election to replace Jordan Anaglah who passed away some months ago.

He was duly elected by officials of the Electoral Commission of Ghana as the substantive Vice President after other members opted not to contest the astute administrator.

Crentsil says he will use his experience to continue the positive development of Ghana football.

“The GFA is currently strategizing to come with its four-year business plan geared towards making football development in Ghana globally competitive,” Crentsil said.

“The strategic focus as envisioned would be a five-tier approach that would deepen and rekindle the future prospects of Ghana football.

“With the help of my colleagues and friends in Ghana football administration we will drive this agenda forward to continue to enhance the status of Ghana in world football.”

Crentsil comes in with his rich experience as an accomplished procurement consultant for a British company based Tecnorth Limited in Ashford, Kent.

He was the procurement consultant of Austrian Aid for medium scale industries in Ghana.

Crentsil previously worked with the British High Commission in Ghana as the Aid and Commercial Officer where he was in charge for bilateral aid for Ghana.

Crentsil founded Ghana’s St Mirren Football Club from second division, helping them to reach the top flight-league before moving to become the leader of former African champions Hearts of Oak.
