Hearts have played down concerns about the injury sustained by midfielder Emmanuel Hayford in the 2-1 defeat at Medeama.

The former Amidaus ace was forced off in the first half after he collided with striker Kabiru Moro.

He was rushed to the Tarkwa Government Hospital after he failed to respond to the medics.

However team manager Nathaniel Ofosu has revealed he is in stable condition and recovering well after he was transferred to Accra.

"He was taken to the hospital and as at that time it was very horrible but we moved him from Takoradi to Accra after the game and he is doing well this morning,” he said.

"He went for an X-Ray and we are waiting for the scan results and decide what we do next.

"As at now we cannot say he will feature in our match on Sunday but the degree of the injury wouldn't even permit us to play him in that game so I would say he is out of that match.

Hayford opened the scoring with a spectacular finish in the 20th minute before Godbless Asamoah pulled level 13 minutes later.

Kabiru Moro snatched the match winner with an 84 minute header at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park.
