Hearts players back in training for the upcoming season
Hearts of Oak commenced their pre-season activities at the La Beach in Accra on Monday.
Head coach CK Akunnor had the full complement of his squad reporting with the exceptions of some new signings and those on the nursing list.
This week has been dedicated towards improving the physical condition of the players following their return from a long break.
Hearts’ last competitive match was against AshantiGold in the FA Cup in early June.
Physical Trainer W.O Tandoh has been handed the responsibility to work with the players while coach Akunnor observes on the sidelines.
The players were taken through 45 minutes of fast and slow running drills on the sands of the La beach with some latitude given to the Muslim players who are observing the fast.
The players are currently in non-residential camping but are expected to move into camp next week where they will be working with the ball.
Hearts last won the Premier League in 2009 aim to wrestle the title this term from rivals Asante Kotoko.
