Hearts and Kotoko to open new chapter in rivalry series with Super 2 clash

Giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko will play a one-off pre-season friendly match dubbed ‘MTN Super 2’ on September 23.

The Super 2 was initiated last year where the Ghana Premier League heavyweights engaged themselves in a two-legged tie following their decision not to participate in the inaugural GHALCA G8 competition.

This year’s Super 2 will however be a one-off game to be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

GHANAsoccernet.com is reliably informed that all negotiations between the two clubs to play this game are 99% complete.

The one-off pre-season match will offer fans of both teams the opportunity to see the numerous club signings while reviving the fierce rivalry which exist between the two giants.

It will also be a great tonic to usher in the new Premier League season in the absence of any serious pre-season competition.

The Super 2 is sponsored by telecommunication giants MTN and being organized by Connectmarketing and Proton Sports Service.

Its another opportunity for Kotoko to punish Hearts of Oaks again on september 23 @ the Baba Yara Sports stadium. We the funs of Kotoko are pleading with Kanewu to start making his usual noise again,in other to draw more spectators to the stadium.
