Heart of Lions warn against referee Lathbridge’s future appointment

Heart of Lions do not want referee Reginald Lathbridge to officiate their matches in the top-flight ever again.

Lions claim the centre man gave them a raw deal when he officiated their Premier League game at Aduana Stars last weekend.

The Kpando-based side were beaten 2-0 at the Agyemang Badu Park.

They have therefore warned against the appointment of the referee in future matches insisting his safety cannot be guaranteed.

"Management have met and decided that we don’t want referee Reginald Lathbridge to officiate our matches again,” PRO Collins Odoom told Accra-based Peace FM

“Our supporters are not happy with the way he treated us at Aduana and therefore we are pleading with authorities not to appoint him to handle our maches ever again.

“Beacause if they do, we cannot guarantee his safety. Sometimes it’s diffult to handle supporters and so to avoid anything untoward he should stay away from our matches henceforth.”
