Bashir Hayford has been appointed the substantive head coach of the national female U20 team, the Black Princess.
The AshantiGold trainer was handed in his official appointment last week, according to Metrofmonline.com.
Hayford replaces Robert Sackey who failed to deliver with the side at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup last year in Japan.
The former Asante Kotoko coach will hold talks with officials of AshGold over his future at the club.
This is due to a directive issued by the Ghana FA that no substantive national team coach will be allowed to work elsewhere as done in the past.
Hayford will take charge of the Black Princess for the remainder of their World Cup qualifying series.
