Have your say: Why did the Black Stars fail to AFCON title?

Published on: 15 February 2012

With the dust settling on Ghana's campaign at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, there is the urgent need for us to find the reasons for the Black Stars failure.

Some might even say that a fourth-place finish at the tournament is not a failure because we put pressure on the players by insisting on the title.

There are one of the several reasons given for Ghana's inability to win the title.

Several other reasons have been given  -  mutiny in camp, fight over the captain's arm band, a stubborn coach, players hiding injuries, wrong players chosen for the tournament and several spiritual reasons.

Other also think that the Black Stars are overrated and Ghanaians think too highly of their team when they are an average side.

We need to find a solution to the problems if there are any so that we can avoid this situation next year if we qualify for the tournament.

What do you think the Ghana Football Association must do to be able to solve problems (if there are any) for the Black Stars to win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations title?

Do you think coach Goran Stevanovic must be sacked?

Do you think some of the players in the Black Stars must be retired?

Do you think we need more local players in the Black Stars?
