Have your say: What do you think about the GFA’s decision to beg the Ayews?

The Ghana Football Association says it will beg Andre and Jordan Ayew to return to the Black Stars.

Andre says following the decision to leave him out of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations squad, he doesn’t feel comfortable with the management.

Jordan says he will only return to the team when his place in the team is guaranteed otherwise he will stay at his team Marseille to build on his performances.

The GFA responded by saying they will engage the players in talks to convince to change their minds about resigning temporarily.

Do you think the right approach has been adopted by the GFA to convince the duo the return?

Do you think the Ayews have a point?

Do you think the Ayews should be left alone? If yes why and if no why. Make your views known in the box below:

gfa is not begging. they are asking the ayews to reconsider and rescind. thats what any good management do.

    • GHFUO, BE SERIOUS NOT PRIDEFUL! says:

BEGGING WONT ACHIEVE ANYTHING. DID BEGGING BRING KP BOATENG BACK? WHERE IS ABEYIE? THE GFA NEEDS TO CLEANS ITS BRAIN, HOUSE AND RHE WAY IT DOES BUSINESS. YOU CANT EXPECT PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS TO WORK FOR UNPROFESSIONAL PPL.

  2. TIZOO says:

why this caption GSN? lets be serious as a football nation and do away with all personal sentiments. after all, the Ayews are better than most of the guys that represented us at the Afcon. thanx

    • anokwale says:

Here is the basic problem. Any football association in the world can pick who they want and when they want. Once a player or players are demanding they should be on the team, now they have pressure to perform. Assuming the Ayews come back and start every game. This would mean that they should both score at least once a game. I know that this is not going to happen. I can easily see Jordan never scoring and Dede scoring once in awhile. The problem with this team is in the final third. We need a team where we can confidently say we will get two goals a game no matter who the competition is. Even with the Ayews, we cannot say that.

  3. texas says:

Both the GFA (including AA and his technical team) and the Ayews are at fault in this situation, and this will be a win win or loss situation for both sides. However, I disagree that the GFA is begging the Ayews! no one person or group of persons or even the GFA itself is bigger than the Black Stars! Black Stars is Ghana!

  4. simpleman says:

Yes, it is the responsibility of the GFA to approach them for their decision, but if they refuse the GFA should leave them alone and move forward. The Ayews can`t make the Black star. What will happened if the Ayews are begged to join the team and the rest of the players also resign their services to the national team. For the Jordan,he should know the black star is not for him alone.Let them go and concentrate on the rest of the players.KPB left, but the black star exist.

  5. pkious says:

i dont see why learnered persons at the FA would go and beg dis illittrate fools.

    • GHFUO, BE SERIOUS NOT PRIDEFUL! says:

PKIOUS, U ARE A RETARDED, DEMENTED KWASIA. U CALL GFA LITERATE? LOOK AT HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THEY R? BCOS OF KICKBACKS, THEY DONT EVEN WANT PROFESSIONALS. THEY WOULD RATHER LIVE N WADDLE IN THEIR MEDIOCRITY. GFA CHOOSES THEIR FAVORITE PLAYERS N CLAIM PERCENTAGES FROM THEIR BONUSES. APPIAH AS A COACH HAS NO SAY. HOW WILL GBSTAR WIN ANYTHING LIKE THIS? ONLY USING THE TEAM TO MAKE PETTY MONEY. NO TROPHIES….NYANTAKYI DONT WANT BRANS COACH LIKE DESAILLY AND U SHOULD KNOW WHY…IDIOT! YOU EXPECT KP BOATENG, ESSIEN, ABEYIE, AYEWS TO WASTE THEIR TIME WITH SUCH PRIMITIVE FOOLS?

  6. Score says:

GFA let them go. Does it mean if your friends are not around you can’t give your all? Why are we evenwasting time talking about these guyz? We’ve had enough of their pompous lifestyle. I don’t blame these anyways, i blame GFA and the management team. Ghana has talents that can easily succeed these guys but what do we see and hear? BRIBE and HATRED!!! This is what is tearing our team apart. Players differ in performance, player A can shine in his first debut while player B will take some time to jell. These guyz wouldn’t have bluffed us if we had created competition in the team. Before them, there was Black Stars and after them, there will still be Black Stars. They are not bigger than the country!!! Lets them go… ya br3 omu!!!

  7. Blackstar says:

The GFA should continue to try its best to persuade the Ayew brothers as well as other important assets to the squad such as Kevin Prince Boateng to return to the national team in order to secure the strength of the blackstars. The GFA should also look towards the management of the squad, as there is a reason these players are constantly deciding to leave the national team. A more experienced manager such as Marcel Desailly or other managers with European experience should be put in charge of the national team, as they understand what it takes to compete at the top flight. The Ghana national team has declined as of late as a result of the management, as shown through our poor performance in the African Cup of Nations. If the Ghana national team wishes to return to its superstar status it must find new experienced management that will be able to compete on the world stage, and try be all means to keep players that know what it takes to compete on the highest level such as: Essien, KBP, the Ayew bros, Muntari, Anthony Annan, etc. Hire Desailly!

  8. INSIDER says:

a player knows when he is drop for footballing reasons. Jordan was drop because some greedy bustads at the GFA hates his swag. secondly, there is always 3 or 4 places in the team of 23 for fringe players who will be willing to give a percentage of their bonuses to those bustards at the FA. that is why Ghana has never presented its best team at major tournaments. kervin, essien and the ayews would all love to don the national shirt on any day, but the politics that goes into player selection for major tournaments has really got them thinking about their international future. aKwesi appiah is just an “android” who is being controlled by those greedy bastads at the FA

  9. Paul says:

If we dont take care BS will be a ‘family nd frienz’ team which will serve a very serious nd regretable prescident which will lead into chaos in the team. Ghana is bigger than any other person so let them GO!

  10. Chu says:

The military must take over the GFA (Ghana Fraud Assoc) and the team’s management should be given to a private body

  11. Chu says:

I blame GFA bcos if we won the cup, the country wldn’t had rcived this crap. even with’em did we win in 2012. KMA ayews

  12. Yaw says:

He who wears the shoes, knows where it pinches. Leave these boys alone and let them be!If anyone thinks he/she can do better than them, let him go and play for the black stars and win whatever they want.

  13. pk says:

Unfortunate precedence. Recipe for a fragmented national team. How does the GFA expect the other players to perceive their action?

  14. dede says:

Is not about G.F.A berging Ayew’s or not, there is a massive corruption in the G.F.A administration.the topic shouldin’t berging Ayew’s or not he should be rather GFA should be disolve or not because of their corruption other than that problem between players and GFA will never end and many players will soon retire

  15. Asasco says:

The devil behind,is Sannie Darrah.i will asure him that, his evil movement shall backfire, when did having talks with a player to rescind his decition becomes begging.why didnt you publish the meeting you guys took in George Afriyie,s house to unsettle the Ayew bros in the Black Stars.Ghana deserves better.

  16. Djeniko says:

I’m a nigerian. All d comments are about corrupt GFA. Same with nigeria’s Nff. Keshi wants d best 4nig but NFF is dragging him back. Keshi wants2bring in some players like Amoebi, Sydney &others. He wants2 approach them face2face. GFA can do same with d Ayews, Essien, Boateng, Montari etc. This is p.e.r.s.u.a.t.i.o.n. It is not b.e.g.g.i.n.g. Ghana badly need these players. Abedi Pele can be useful in d Ayews’ cases. Corruption is a problem in Africasports.

  17. Jah Kauser says:

The Ayews can choose to play for their team n in a top flight football, even de whites appreciate their play more than other BS players.Ghanaians leave de guys.A crab does not fathers a bird, they will shine more dan their father.Ayews all de way

  18. Eric says:

It was their father who started this resignation thing and I blame the GFA. Just think about How the captain was given to him and how he always want it before playing. we have made this boys feel they are doing us a favor by playing for Ghana. The black stars team should branded in a way that any body will through a party when he is called and not begging people to come and play. Playing for a national team is the greatest honor any player Will have. please Ghanaians Let us hold this team in high esteem. Only those who want should be invited
