Swedish side Halmstad BK have been forced to leave out Ghanaian striker Kwame Karikari from their squad to face giants AIK Solna in the Allsvenskan opening game due to contractual clause.

But pair Joseph Baffo and King Osei Gyan are both in an 18-man squad to face AIK at the Friends Arena in Solna next week Monday.

Karikari will not be able to feature for Halmstad due to contractual agreement between them and AIK that will not allow him to play against his former side when they meet in the league.

"I'm not in the squad for the game because of this clause in the contract that doesn't allow me to play against AIK," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Halmstad are counting on the former Ghana U20 striker to end their striking blues but head coach Jan Jonsson will not have him his squad for the opening game.
