Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan has arrived in the Uuited Arab Emirates to finalize his shock move to Al-Ain, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.
He arrived in the country early on Sunday morning to complete the shock move.
The 25-year-old boarded a special chartered flight from Newcastle provided for by the Abu-Dhabi club after Sunderland agreed toà a one-year loan deal on Saturday.
The Ghana striker was met on arrival by the officials and teeming fans of his new club at the Abu-Dhabi international airport in the early hours of Sunday.
The move came as a shock to many as the Sunderland record signing is only into his second of a four-year contract signed when joining from French club Stade Rennes.
