Gyan sure of Ghana rise in Rajevac's absence

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan insists the Black Stars will continue to rise despite the departure of coach Milovan Rajevac.

The Serbian manager refused to renew his contract with the Black Stars even though he had assured his players he will extend the deal.

His last game in charge of the side was this month’s Nations Cup match against Swaziland which they won 3-0.

Rajevac was instrumental in the recent successes of the Black Stars aas he led them to the quarter final of the World Cup

Even though Gyan is shocked that the Serbian refused to renew his contract, he says Ghana will continue to post good results.

"It [the departure of Milovan Rajevac] has surprised me a lot,” the Sunderland striker said.

“Because our last game against Swaziland he handled the team and after the game we were chatting, and we didn't see any sign that he had to leave so it was like a shock to me. But life goes on - we've had many coaches."
