Gyan scores 19th league goal with a brace in UAE top-flight

Posted On Sunday, 6th May 2012

Asamoah Gyan has now scored 19 league goals in the UAE top-flight

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan registered 19 league goals in the UAE top-flight after a double on Sunday helped ten-man Al Ain thump Emirates 4-1.

Gyan opened the scoring on seven minutes and added a second in the 23rd minute.

But Al Ain were forced to play with ten men after Radoi was sent off for a last man foul on Alexander Geynrikh on the half hour mark.

Geynrikh reduced the arrears for the hosts, but one of UAE star Omar Abdulrahman restored the two goal lead going into the break.

Argentine Ignacio Scocco hammered the final nail into Emirates coffin soon after the restart.

Al Ain won the Etisalat Pro League last week with three matches to spare.

And who told you Gyan doesn’t have respect becuase of where is he playing, only ignorant ghanains doesn’t appreciate Asamoah Gyan and i dnt see reason why people are still busy with this dude, is his life he can do what ever he want that is why he says no more international duties so what more are you experting from him guys? i know some fools are coming to comments his dressing but that is his life. Gyan will never big as you wish.

  5. berniito says:

@prince. we all understand that uae league is sub-standard but gyan has opted to play there on monetary grounds. you guys would spare yourselves from wasting a lot of time if you could stop castigating him for enjoying his life there aftet all he is happy playing there. he scored against chelsea last year, mind you,and that might have caught the attention of his current employers. stop these needless comments about people if you have nothing constructive to write.
