Greuther Fürth refuse to release Rahman for AYC qualifier against Morocco

Greuther Fürth have turned down the Ghana Football Association’s request to use Baba Rahman for Sunday’s 2013 African Youth qualifier against Morocco.

The Black Satellites will host the first leg at home desirous of winning convincinghly against their North African opponent to make the second leg a mere formality.

Head trainer Maxwell Konadu was hoping to have the former Asante Kotoko left- back in his squad for the crucial tie at the Tamale Sports stadium.

But the decision of the German outfit to decline their request will come as massive blow for the Ghanaians.

The 18-year-old  is expected to return from suspension to play for the newly promoted German side against Wolfsburg this weekend.

The West African giants are desperate to qualify to the championship slated for Algeria next year after they failed to progress past the group phase under Orlando Wellington  two years ago.
