Graphic Communications Board laments Daniel Kenu betrayal after journalist withdrawal of court suit against Asamoah Gyan's brother
Daniel Kenu has betrayed Graphic Communications according to Board Chairperson

Chairperson for the Board of Graphic Communications Group Dr Doris Yaa Dartey has labelled as betrayal the decision by their journalist Daniel Kenu to discontinue his legal action against Asamoah Gyan's elder brother Baffour Gyan.

Kenu, the Ashanti Regional editor for the Daily Graphic, officially wrote a letter to a Kumasi High Court presiding over the assault case to discontinue the case.

"To surprise and shock all of us in the courtroom of his decision, I think it was a betrayal, it was a betrayal to the company, and it still is a betrayal to the journalism profession," Dartey told Accra-based Starr FM.

Kenu was assaulted by Gyan and a gang of muscled thugs at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, just a day to the Stars’ AFCON qualifier against the Cranes of Uganda.

The attack is seen by many as Baffour Gyan’s way of getting back at the journalist, for a question he asked Asamoah Gyan about his missing musician star friend during a Black Stars press conference ahead of Ghana's 2015 AFCON qualifier against Uganda in Kumasi.
