Thirty physical education teachers and coaches each received a set of sports equipments after undergoing a FIFA health program on Friday.

The five-day course trained participants to become instructors for the implementation of FIFA’s ‘11 for Health’ program.

The program looks to encourage interest of children in physical activities and educate them on health issues and behavior through football.

The thirty graduates selected from seventeen (17) schools in Accra will in turn train other physical education teachers across the country in a six-month pilot project.

The graduates after the five-day course at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence in Prampram received a set of balls and cones for the schools, customized watches, a FIFA kit bag with customized shirts amongst others.

The presentation done at the closing ceremony by the National Project Leader of the FIFA initiative Dr. Prince Pambo is a gesture and symbol of the course completion by the participants.

The course initiative by FIFA is in conjunction with the Ghana FA, Ministry of Sports and Health and the Ghana Education Service.
