It was mission accomplished for Gold Stars coach Johnson Smith after his squad progressed to the next stage of the Ghana MTN FA Cup at the expense of Hearts.
The second-tier side managed a surprise 2-1 win over Hearts at Bibiani to ensure qualification to the round of 32 on Sunday.
And for the ex-Asante Kotoko trainer, it was a sweet revenge against the capital-based side having lost to the same side 2-0 last season.
"I'm happy about the game, we spent the whole whole week preparing well and the result is very pleasing, of course," said Smith.
"The team played with discipline and deserved to qualify to the next stage of the competition.
ââ¬ÅWe are delighted with our progress and we hope to make the best count.ââ¬
Hearts shock exit from the competition will certainly spark talks of managerial change at the club.
