Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams has distanced himself from speculations linking him with Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh.

Last week, the club’s Chief Executive Albert Commey confirmed they were studying a proposal from the Red Devils.

But the 2014 FIFA World Cup unused goalkeeper says he is unaware of a move the Omdurman-based club.

“It’s not true that I have been approached by Al Merreikh in fact I have not heard anything from them,” Adams told Africanfootball.com

“I am just crossing my fingers and hoping if anything good comes I will not hide it but as I talk to you all talk linking me to a move to Sudan are null and void.”

Adams was adjudged the Ghana Premier League best goalkeeper in 2010 after conceding only ten goals en route to winning the title on their debut season.

He was one of the star performers at the 2014 African Nations Championship in South Africa where the local Black Stars won silver.
