Goalkeeper Stephen Adams respects Kwesi Appiah’s decision to leave him on the bench in the pre-World Cup friendly against Montenegro.

The Aduana Stars first choice, who was expected to be handed game time after a superb display at the CHAN tournament, was an unused substitute in the 1-0 defeat in Podgorica.

“No! Why will I be disappointed (to be left on the bench against Montenegro)? I will never be disappointed. It’s the coach who has the technical eyes to choose anybody who can be in the post,” Adams told CampioneSport.

‘‘He (Kwasi Appiah) knows what he likes and what he doesn’t like so I can’t say I am in top form to be the number one.

‘‘I will leave it to the Coach. I have to train hard and be prayerful. That is what I am doing.”

Adams is highly tipped to make Ghana’s 23-man squad for the tournament.
